My wants:

1. New boss mechanic. In Tyria, we have hearty bosses that can take a beating. While in Cantha, we have deadly bosses that can dish out mad amounts of damage. Problems with these two is they favor certain classes over others, making certain class bosses nearly invincible (like Tyrian monk bosses), or downright instakill (like Canthan Ele bosses). This pattern means we will likely see a new boss mechanic in Elona. So the question becomes, what will it be?

My idea is to give each different class' boss a unique ability, to favor all classes, not just certain ones. Give Monk bosses a Tryain quality of having half hex/condition time on them. Ele bosses can have their double spell damage. Give Ranger bosses permanent IAS. Warrior bosses increased armor. Etc. This is what I would love to see, make bosses actually be bosses, and fearful.

2. Puzzles and dynamic dungeons. Take Tomb Raider, Myst, and Diablo, and combine them all for PvE. Give us some brain puzzles that we can get experience from, instead of just killing stuff. Dynamic dungeons like in Diablo (just a few, not everything needs to be dynamic), could switch things up and be essentially nigh-impossible to farm. Would be difficult to implement, I know, but definately fun.

Being that this game takes place in an Egyptian-like area, we could have ancient and maze-like tombs that we would have to fight through. Possibly filled with traps, moving walls, puzzles, etc.

3. Better baddies! The groups of balanced classes in Cantha was a great start. Keep doing that. Multiple groups of same classes is just too darn easy. If it doesn't make sense for a type of monster to be different classes, then give them good Monster Skills. Have more Monster Skills. Not all the skills we learn should be adaptable by all monsters, and vice-versa. Heck, throw in more baddies like Shiro and Kuunavang, with nothing but Monster Skills, that we need a whole team to defeat. Also, you can introduce Monster Skills that have interesting GUI effects, like warping the screen or causing your character to lose their weapon temporarily, since no players would be able to use the skills, anyway.

Better AI with level progression could also be a good implementation. In other words, at level 3, those large cobras should be fairly dumb, but at level 24, they should have the maneveurability and wits of decent PvP humans. Some low-levels might actually be dumb enough to stand in a Firestorm, but higher level would not only avoid that, but also attempt to avoid projectiles by zig-zagging.

No more missions used basic, expert, and master rewards base on how fast the team can finish the mission. Get completed set of rewards from mission base on timing was the stupiest idea in Factions.

Advance AI for each henchman, actually this should have improved since the first chapter of Guild Wars.

-Ehm, maybe crazy idea, but what about clothes? I can't imagine warriors always walking around in their heavy armorsuits. So what about clothes?
Like wen your warrior enters town, he doesn't has his heavy armor equiped, but instead of that he has like these clothes on (maybe a bit citizen like).
You can dye clothes, buy new clothes (just for the looks, it has no armor, as it are only normal clothes, can't imagine my pants stopping a blade =P)
Could've been cool of you could wear brands. (No RL brands, just new ones). Might be cool, as you can have cheap and expensive clothes. (Imagine an in-game H&M or Zara =P)

-In the cutscenes, when people talk, let their mouths move, i can't imagine everyone speaking with their mouth's closed. Those GTA (VC or SA) cutscenes use the same looking characters, but their mouths move and their react better on stuff. And GW is better then any GTA.

-Different armors. I mean like, if you are an W/A (example duh =P) you could wear the assassin armor. Would be cool of you are an W/Paragon Or Me/Dervish

agreed, altho something similar to ToA would be welcome, maybe even if its just another temple area that takes you to the same places, throught the same gods, even adding another place and adding that to ToA

Why? why not get away from Both Cantha and tyria all together... We now have access to other worlds in the tyrian solar system (Naphui Quatre), so lets see other planets, new enemies, etc

Ah, the locked gates bitching again... That was done specifically to make people play the game... a good idea IMO

Please god NO! the game is NOT about lvls... Newbie island was a great idea... Please ANet increase the experience for quests in Tyria

Not going to happen, ANet have already said that chapter specific classes will not be supported in future chapters

I actually hope that each add on adds something new, however, underlying will be the basic fact that its still GuildWars, and as such cannot change from the way it is, except adding maybe a z-axis and upgrading the graphics engine

Actually, I thought these were pretty bad and not much fun at all... if you are refering to Jade and Aspen. Took forever for one to start, then dealing with the afkers... after months of trying to get into a real group of real players that wanted to play, I was extremely disapointed. So I hope we see no more of these within the PvE map taking up actual co-op mission space.

The other ideas Paperfly and Arcan mention I pretty much agree with though. Sounds good.

I would add for my own list:

Longer lasting multi-forward moving quests (meaning no back tracking).
Explorable zones with far away hidden areas of interest with no point to get there other than to get there. Exploring is fun for some and is not required to complete the game... so why not add it?
Finally do away with the favor/elite locked missions. Players want to play content and keep finding the end game content locked behind some stupid "dynamic".
Yes, I see quivers! Shining Blade rangers have quivers... where's mine?
No more locked gates. I've never been "run" anywhere nor do I run anyone anywhere... but those gates really destroyed the illusion of a game world to me.

The biggest wish: Make PvE and PvP good enough to stand on their own so we don't need gimick "sales" (features called content) and don't have one play base begging the other to come join them in the other. If PvE is really good, then PvPers will want to come play PvE without feeling they need to. If PvP is good enough then PvE will want to go play it with feeling they need to. How do you do that? Got me...

As has been said, indoors PvE areas/outposts, would be cool with a huge palace to explore...

Legions of Warriors, Dervish and Assassins marching over the skulls of those annoying whiney casters who know NOTHING about what it means to have to tank....(*Smiles at the thought.*)

Death of the concept of the "wammo syndrome" it's a bloody lie already, get over it.

Oh right, Nightfall....um yeah, everything else good has been suggested already.

It takes all types. I have almost a hundred hours logged on Aspenwood, and remain interested enough that I wrote the closest I've come to a proper GW article on it.

Allow me to agree to these statements and also add that I hope they allow all non-core professions the ability to start in Pre-Searing Ascalon with generic skill trainer quests that are modular enough for all future classes -- or at least allow for chapter transfer much earlier than level 20 and Lion's Arch. I also ask for:

-None of this "pvp called pve" all over crap. A couple are okay, but most of Cantha is just that with those challenge/etc missions.
-Improved henchman recruitment system. The huge green swaths in areas like Senji's corner are already absurd, while new chapters will only exacerbate the problem.

I want way more small outposts like Tyria had!

almost all outposts in cantha are there for a reason, and are not "fun" to be in.

I love sitting in beetletun, bergen hot springs etc in Tyria, cantha has none of those outposts (maybe bai paasu reach or something..)

and no more gates.. the first thing I did in cantha was exploring.. how disappointed was I when I found new outposts (minister cho's estate, ran musu gardens) by exploring but I couldn't get in.

Yes, I'm posting twice in fairly quick succession.

I'll chime in on each of these:
1 Bosses: Your idea is nice, but how about multi-professioned bosses?
2 Puzzles: Working some in would be nice, but too many or too complex of puzzles would just drive people to GWWiki or forums asking, "How do I do this?"
3 Baddies: Indeed. I always thought it was silly that stupid little insects like Scarabs running from Firestorm. It shouldn't necessarily be modified simply by level, but also apparent intelligence of the monster. It already seems they have different AI sets for different monsters (minotaurs and temple guardians have AI way different than other monsters it feel).

Agreed. Faction which can be redeemed for tangible rewards promotes leechers, AFKers in the game.

The main things i would like to see are tons of new weapons and shields like D2 had. And Larger Pvp maps with more people with actual objectives and things you can use or activate like traps and catupults.

I prefer more variety in henchman. Prophecies was dull with the same 7 or so henchman for most of the game (three of which were basically useless anyway)...

- better leveling system i.e. faster than prophecies way slower than factions.
helps learn how to use your character and perfect it

- another presearing would be awesome, only place u could actually solo and not die but still have some challenge.

-open map, i always got lost going through factions trying to do quests in kaineng, its like a maze.

-no more gates if prophecies u could explore and not be stuck by gates like in factions

- trading system needs some perfecting cant stand spammers, using of local chat, with W T S and W T B maybe something like an auction house

- easier to make money, farming is extremely boring

- a reward when u finish the game is nice but the greens, at the end of factions, didnt hold there value for anything because factions was too short.

- more character design or armors my character looks exactly like every one elses. i wish my warrior could have some tattoos or something.

- hair cuts!!!

- more support for other classes most are only specificly looking for warriors and monks other than that you could have some random casters.

hmm all i can think of for now

-For the auction house you should have to pay a rent. Like 5k a day or 1k an Hour ect.

-Arena net says alot of things....mabey we WILL get assassin and rit support. After all we were promised we wouldnt have to pay for materials storage.>.>

Please no more of the compromising content to compensate for those who link all three chapters and employ more creative methods to overcome this rather than forcing toons to level up quickly and have most of the content for high levels.

I, like many on this thread too want another "prophecies'' type gameplay.
